Can you make a beat better than me? (Randy seems to think so.) Can you rap better than Billy or me? It’s Carrboro is released under the least restrictive Creative Commons license, so you can do pretty much whatever you want with the song. This mother is 95 bpm, yo, get on it!
- Full Version - The song you’ve all heard and are beginning to tire of. I should include this just in case you are a first time visitor to the site.
- Instrumental - no human voices at all. Make a rap about your own home-town! I’d love to hear this!
- Instrumental with chorus - no rapping present, but the “it’s carrboro” refrain is on there. This is probably the best if you wish to perform the song yourself.
- A capella - the scariest of them all. Just Bill and me; no beat. There is silence at the beginning of the song where the music should go.

To help build tha hype for the big It’s Carrboro video shoot (Sunday, 2PM, Wilson Park, fool!), Billy and I will be performing it live at DSI Comedy Theater tonight @ 9:30. Ticket price is only $5 for anyone who mentions “It’s Carrboro“. This performance will also be filmed, and footage will probably be used in the video, just to let you know.

That’s right, Carrboro! Your time to shine on camera is now… that is, April 30th! At 2PM!! At Wilson Park!! It’s gonna be a party, and I mean that. We will cater the event. We’re going the whole nine yards. Bring your friends as this will be the biggest, most awesome party ever filmed!
What to bring and wear:
Bring whatever props, flair, Carrboro positive signes, local business signs or big foam fingers that you want. Wear whatever. Wear a costume or something that promotes something local to Carrboro or dress normally. I’m sure I’ll dig it whatever you decide to do.
How do I get to Wilson Park?
From downtown, go down North Greensboro st past the intersection with Estes. Wilson Park will be down the next street on your right.
